Stamps.com vs Ebay Shipping labels?

Is there a particular reason to use one or the other?

Re: Stamps.com vs Ebay Shipping labels?

Only reason I know of to use stamps.com or Endicia was for printing stamps for shipping envelopes and flats.

If you ship boat loads of either of those, machinable stamps are about .03 cents cheaper than hand canceled stamps, so if you can predict your sales volume you can use the service for a short while and print as many stamps as you think you would need then cancel the monthly subscription.

Beyond that you're paying for a service ebay + paypal provide for free.

AFAIK you can do bulk shipping inside Ebay and there is no recourse or risk to a stealth account. Sellers will use third party shipping platforms like stamps when they're accepting returns because it isn't automated by Ebay and you can upload the label with your actual return address to get your item back.

If this is what you're after shipstation or shippo are viable options. Instead of 15$/mo it's 5 cents extra per label on shippo. If you are initiating more than 300 returns a month (would hope this isn't the case for any seller lol) then using shippo for returns is cheaper than the flat 15$/mo of stamps or Endicia.

What's the difference between shipstation/shippo and stamps.com? Isn't it still around 15/mo ? Is that just an alternative stamps.com site?

Re: Stamps.com vs Ebay Shipping labels?

All the same. All can do the same stuff. No difference other than price.

Shippo is 5 cents a label. (i.e. a 2.66 label would cost you 2.71)

Stamps is the flat 15/mo. Print as many labels as you want; won't cost any more or less than the 15.

If you ship more than 300 orders a month, stamps would be the way to go.

On shippo 300 labels x 0.05 cents = 15/mo. Using shippo to print more than 300 labels then becomes more expensive than stamps.

But you're better off with ebay bulk shipping thats already integrated into their website if you're looking for free shipping label printing. No monthly or per label fees.

Yep that's correct. When you get an order you can print the USPS label for it from within ebay itself.

Is the time you save worth the 180$ a year?

Yes. I don't have the patience or desire to spend any more time on labels than necessary.

So if I use stamps.com, can I connect to my 5 stealth eBay accounts printing all orders from different accounts without being spotted by eBay ?
