Default cookies/browser question

I want to transfer my legit account to a new laptop (current laptop is 11 years old and going haywire).

Is it safe to open my EB/PP from a totally new laptop and clean browser?

It's my own legit account which is SSN-verified to myself.

Thanks!

At the very most you'll be asked to verify who you are by way of a phone call/sms verification. So just ensure the number on file is working.

If not, change the number to a new number that you do have to hand, and then login on the new computer.

I've done it by using both devices at the same time repeatedly to log into the account, it creates history for the new devices and gives the second device a degree of recognition and 'legitimacy', generally works pretty good for me.

I've done this - changing computers and browsers - i browse for a day or 2 before listing and it has been without issue

You could also export all your cookies from your old device to your new one

Could this not raise flags having the same cookies with a different fingerprint? Just thinking out load I'm not saying it will cause an issue

For eBay there isn't any issues to be worried about as they don't raise any flags in such situations.

But personally i'd advise (where possible) to keep things such as cookies/fingerprint etc. as consistent as possible, especially if you're using platforms such as Amazon.
