Changing paypal phone numbers
 

So I got a bunch of ebay and paypal accounts with tracfone numbers about to expire. All accounts are verified and up and running fine.

IF I add google voice numbers to the paypals will that cause any problems?

I want this because sometimes PayPal asks for phone verification and my tracfone numbers will soon be dead. You can have multiple phones on PayPal.

I don't see any reason to touch anything on the ebay side.

please advise me.

i think GV is the riskiest thing you can add to a paypal.

just refill phones, don't cheap out an keep it pushing

ALL my paypal accounts have a google voice number.
Never had an issue.
That being said if you do change the phone number note that it will take several months for paypal to actually accept them for verification purposes. Always better to maintain the phone number the account was opened with.

This is absolutely untrue.

OP, as long as you dont have ebay or paypal asking for a phone verification now, prior to changing your number, then it should be just fine. The only thing you usually dont want to do with a GV number is try to create an ebay account. But changing the number to a GV after creation is fine. There is no issue ever with GV for paypal.

I added one GV number to an existing paypal with zero issues.

General concensus is that gvoice has been overly used and abused with PP causing problems....in general
