New laptop, anything to fear?

Due to hardware issues I will have to get a new laptop. I have backups for files..etc, but no backup for cookies folder of my web browsers.

Will logging into eBay from a totally new laptop post any danger to the account? Same IP will for sure be used.

What are your thoughts?

That should be fine, just avoid making changes or withdrawing for the first week or 2 if you can

A quick Youtube search will show you how to transfer cookies from one computer to another.

The original hard drive is dead. I thought about it, but it has been too late already :bird:

Right, in that case i'd do something like...

1. setup a user account per stealth account.
2. only browse on the accounts for a day or two, add items to basket etc. (dont login).
3. login, do more browsing.
4. and just ease into using the account.

During this time don't do anything that will flag the account, i.e. change details, passwords etc. Avoid any withdrawals. Avoid listing anything right away.

Within a week of doing all this, you can go back to how you were using it before.

Make sure you have the phone number as you may be requested to do an SMS confirmation prior to logging in the first time on the new laptop.

We are used to buy a laptop that will make all the jobs but none of them very good. There are laptops for programmers, for designers, for the music industy and even for nursing. You may ask why won't I buy an expensive laptop that will do all the jobs? Well, I gaved you the answer. Because it's expensive and you learn in a nursing school, you won't have that much money. So there are budget laptops, like the ones reviewed on https://technoxy.com/best-laptops-for-nursing-students, that will make the job.

why was any of this post necessary?
