Opera Portable - anyone use? What others are there?

Just out of interest...
Has anyone else use Opera Portable?
And are there any other portable browsers that are recommended to be used?

Thanks.

Re: Opera Portable - anyone use? What others are there?

I personally use Chrome and Firefox portable browsers.

Opera should also be fine if you're just using it for eBay and PayPal.

The most important thing is cookies for each account are kept isolated, so which browser you use doesn't really matter.

Note - it would matter if you used a VPN for example, you'd need to configure the browser to ensure it wasn't leaking your IP etc..

so that's worrying. Can you give a link to a guide?

Intentionally, I have every user in own Windows ID. I would never ever sign in - even if using portable - just too easy to make the mistake. I don't know how you whizzkids avoid making such mistakes? I mean I alt tab and cycle through everything in lightning speed. Mistakes are just sooo easy to make.

This is where I get it from. Here you go - https://portableapps.com/apps/intern...hrome_portable

I dont have a link for a guide, I dont use Opera. You'll just need to figure out if it leaks anything when using VPN, and install addons to counter it.

I also recommend using portable browsers + user accounts. That way you know nothing will overlap, but can also just move browsers/cookies onto a new computer if you ever upgrade without losing all the cookies you've built up.

From your post I gather you're trying to vary up your accounts as much as possible. If so, here's a tip I use... Not much you can do in terms of browsers, theres only a limited number of them around, but what you can do is install older versions.

So i'll download an older version of Firefox (https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/) and then set auto update off in settings.

Something small, but its makes it that much more unique in the eyes of eBay and PayPal, compared to all your accounts running on the same version of Firefox.

Why do PayPal "love" updated versions of browsers? It wouldn't matter which version you use, so long as its compatible with the site. But very curious to hear about your opinion. :)

chrome not easy to update?
what's wrong with saving the cookie and moving to a new download folder?
or is the update done directly from the portable app itself?
