Need help asap! Ebay stealth. Use ebay on same computer/new phone?
 

Hello everyone!


I've been on this website for a couple years now but just created an account.

I have one very serious question which i need help on.

I've bought an ebay account in the past and things went wrong, so i've learned what and what not to do.

So recently My friend that has a very high selling limit let me have his ebay account.

I have got a brand new iphone 6s that ive never logged onto with a previous account. I've only logged onto it with my friends ebay account on cellular data.


I cannot get on wifi cause it will link. So am i able to use my friends ebay account he gave me on the same laptop that i had 3-4 ebay accounts banned on if i create a new user on my laptop and use my hotspot from my new iphone?

I hate using ebay on the browser on my phone so I'd like to use my laptop, but was not sure if it would link some how.

eBay app or browser?

If you've used the eBay app, i'd steer clear of this option.

I wouldn't use the app again. You can factory reset the device and use the browser again, but I personally am not a fan of using ebay on mobile devices.

If you share why you're adamant you want to use it on a phone, maybe we can give you some better alternatives?

Sorry, its just not the same on a phone. I like to use a laptop, that way creating listings is easier, I can post more, more features on a laptop, etc...

Am i able to use ebay on my macbook that i got 3-4 ebay accounts banned on? I'd create a whole new user on the macbook and use cellular data instead of my wifi. I just don't know if I'd get linked some how.

That's what I was saying, its hard to be productive on a phone :)

You can use your macbook. New user account, and you're good to go. Just make sure IP doesn't overlap.

So new user and hotspot is good? I just need to make sure every time I DO log on the computer the hotspot IP address is different and not the same?

Pretty much. Just make sure you keep a record of the IP addresses. Should you choose to run multiple accounts later, you dont want the IPs overlapped.
