So here's my stealth plan
 

Posting here before I do anything with this. I think I understand it all but would love any input or ways to improve.

1. New user account. Easy step that I can do... or should I just delete the cookies to avoid having to sign in and out of user accounts just in case I forget one time?

2. My IP addess is impossible to change unless I get another router. I am switching ISP's in Sept/Oct so thinking of just using a VPN until then? IPburger in particular and getting the fresh IP option?

3. Name - I don't have a first name that can have a variant although there are different ways of spelling it. For my surname, I am changing this by deedpill in the next few weeks so is it wise to use the new name now? The new surname will be my mother's maiden name.

New email - Been recommended to use Gmail so this isn't an issue.

4. Address - I don't have friends or family who's address I could use. I am sure that my next door neighbours don't have ebay or paypal or even the internet... but is using this address too close to home? The advantage of using this address would be that I could get things I have ordered from the ebay stealth account when building it up. Postcode would be the same so would this be an issue?

5. Phone number - Looking into options, seems the best option for me would be buying a sim card with no contrat and just using that to receive calls and texts from ebay if needed?

6 - Bank account - Should be easy enough but thinking I may have to wait to change my name before doing this and I don't know if I want to wait that long.

7 - Credit card - Been advised to get a vanilla gift card with visa logo from supermarket.

I think that's about it. I'm sure I will have more questions as I go. If anyone could take a look over my not to masterplan and can advise of any better ways that would be great :)

1 - New user account is best

2 - VPN is a perfect idea

3 - You can just use a random name

4 - Any address would be fine but it has to be a real address.

5 - Any prepaid SIM would work

6 - No need to change names. PP dont see the name on the bank account

Thank you! I must be doing something right! So using next doors address is fine then? Also, something I don't quite understand, in order to grow an account a little before starting to sell as before, don't we need to buy little things? How do we do this if we use a random address?

I'd use the account just for selling, and choose an address further away just to stay on the safe side.

If you want to buy, setup a buying only account under your own details. Usually works fine so long as you follow stealth protocol. i.e. new user

Thanks all. Does it matter what vanilla gift card I get? I'm sure I read somewhere that the ones with the limit are bad and I need an unlimited one, so not one with £25 on but one where you choose the amount?
