I've written ebay -
"This seems a little bit off, as the purpose of good til canceled listings are so that if items do go out of stock, the listing history won't end and you can buy more stock. And as this is a variation listing, wouldn't 'keyword spamming' be inherently part of the listing type?
Simple example: A variation listing for shirts with different colors, including 'red', 'green' and 'blue' in the title is considered keyword spamming should 'green' go out of stock?"
This is ****ing assbackwards. |
| Sunspot144 | 07-11-2018 11:33 AM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? I conclude some ebay reps are off their rockers...
One rep told me "Yes, it is against policy to include the words 'red', 'green' and 'blue' in a GTC variation listing selling red, green and blue shirts." WTF are they smoking over there??
I'm getting the idea they will twist your arm unless you fight back to which they reply 'oh no! we're so sorry for the confusion!' *facepalm* |

| nickopedia | 11-13-2018 10:10 AM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? This has got to be triggered by a bot. Not sure what it was looking for, but maybe several adjectives in a series? Who knows, but this is B.S. |
| paypalpains | 11-13-2018 11:15 AM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? yes, it was a bot, as i revised a listing , two variations in title, and bang, plus a 3 day listing ban, which has been lifted after calling them up and making them realise just how ****ing stupid they are, is ridiculous . |
| nickopedia | 11-13-2018 11:33 AM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? eBay's bots are getting more crazy.
If you think this is asinine, consider the bots that are monitoring eBay's messaging very carefully. One of my buyers claims he was suspended simply for asking me if I had any more similar items for sale. I also received a warning about some "phrase" I used in a message they took as I was attemping an off marketplace sale. I was not. |
| SaiJin | 11-13-2018 12:00 PM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? They are getting desperate aren't they? About making money.
This seems like nothing but absolute nonsense |
| BigCJ | 11-13-2018 12:07 PM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? This is what happens when you try to screw the sellers. Things are coming to bite them in the arse |
| paypalpains | 11-13-2018 12:28 PM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? But it seems like chinese can put anything in header, no repercussions. The ebay rep actually said well if you told someone you were going to buy underwear they would automatically presume it was for briefs, bottom half, not top . |
| Sunspot144 | 11-13-2018 12:35 PM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? What I want to know is how buyers are supposed to know what you are selling in your variation listing if you can't include size, color, etc.
In the single item listings you can. In variation listings you cannot.

| paypalpains | 11-13-2018 06:27 PM | Re: Keyword Spamming Policy Trigger - Can you believe this $hit? Just make sure if you do have a listing like that , and need to revise it for any reason, you will have to revise the title too, otherwise it will get taken down after the revision as it will trigger the new procedure |

Instead they vomit up some bull**** message to you explaining how you messed up, even when you didn't. |

Totally not worth taking the risk. Question is though how long should you wait to before putting the keywords back. These listings were up for over a year before they triggered. :suspicious: | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:37 AM. | |
