Phone cases, bad or good choice?
 

I see millions of listings in the category of mobile phone cases & bags. It seems rough to compete in that category for sure, but I guess it's worth the try.


Are phone cases a potential trigger of Veros? Anyone with experience in that category?

Branded ones yes, non branded is fine though :)

Branded one's sell but you will most likely get VEROed and possibly your account banned. The Non-Branded you will have no issues with but there are people selling cases for next to nothing.

Keep in mind that OP had issues with Apple phone stuff in previous posts.

I'd say phone cases market is extremely oversaturated. Branded ones are foo-foo and the generic ones are worthless.

By branded you mean a brand name is printed on the case and being used in the listing's title?

Could a listing get pulled down because a phone case looks like a branded one? (provided that there is no brand name on the case itself and no brand word is used in the title)

Sure - example: if bidders/buyers complain that it looks like so-and-so

I think only rights holders could pull listings down. I suppose eBay wouldn't take down a listing based on a buyer complaint.


The problem now is that there are god knows how many designs out there! How on earth could one know if the cases intended for purchase look like some branded cases or not?!


A quick search on eBay.com for phone cases results in millions of results!
