Policy Violation Warnings - How long should you wait?

Title says it all - I'm being told my good til canceled variation listings can't use the same items from the variation drop down menu in my titles as it's considered 'keyword spamming'.

Do warnings expire, disappear or get deleted once they think you're playing ball?

You can be sure I'm putting the keywords back once the Indians are done with their witch hunt. But how long til it's safe from some random rep scouring over your profile and digging up some old warning while dealing with some other case? 3 months? 6?

Feeling like Zuckerburg talking to congress as to why they're both wrong and idiots.

There is no 'its now safe' period

Generally 3 months at a minimum but they could still pic you up on it 6 months later

eBay never forgets!

Well, RIP. Not the best thing to hear. No way to know, then? Aspkin forums needs a man on the inside. I'd gladly pay a monthly fee for someone who can turn a blind eye. :shhh:

Am I crazy to fight this?

If you don't know what they mean.... it's doing THIS that is violating their Keyword Spamming and Title policies. I don't think so.....

on one of my mega accounts, sometimes ebay brings up violations from years ago.....They certainly do not like certain things and other things like duplicate listings, not so much.

my guess is that a competitor calling in and made a formal complaint. Happens.

Re: Policy Violation Warnings - How long should you wait?

There are literally tens of thousands of legit items being sold as variation listings.......

Some will say instead example: (for shirts) "S up to XL".

When the sellers small or extra large sizes are sold out, they will still show in search because of the title. By this policy that TOO is keyword spamming.........

Perhaps because this is so widespread on ebay reps are not as up on the policy or let it slide more often..... no way to know....

THey seem to want to claim that if you put variations in the title, one variation could run out, then that would be misleading, however wasnt it ebays policy to list as many variations in one listing, however now they want to educate and punish us for our mistakes , its a bloody joke.

Do not revise any items that you have listed with variation info in the title
