Hard time getting EBAY on the phone lately?
 

is it just me or is anybody else having issues getting a hold of ebay on the phone for anything recently?

Im calling at 6-7am and still cannot get them on the line! unbelievable.
I think this may be due to their recent lay off? Im guessing the 1,400 people they laid off are all customer service reps.

I usually have no trouble getting them on the phone if i call 9am or earlier but this is absolutely insane! I cant get them on the phone for **** without waiting 10-20minutes or longer.

Paypal is even worse.

Why not use the option where you have them call you instead of calling them and being put on hold?

i do but it still sucks, especially when you have other accounts to call in for as well.

Try later on in the evening, I would imagine its a less busy time.

I normally request the call back and my phone is setup with call forwarding

Ive tried calling at 6am - still a 15-30min+ Wait time

Ive also called late right before they close, still 15-30+ Min wait.

This is beyond ridiculous.

I have also tried the callback method, but every time It says Press 1 to accept, I press 1 but it never works and disconnects me, so i end up having to call and WAIT AGAIN, so exciting!

I heard they had a recent lay off of over 1,000 employees my guess is it was all in the customer service department. Ebay is the worst company ever, why the hell do i deal with them lol. Time to move on, website amazon.. anything but ebay

When did this start? I call ebay at least 1-2x per week and almost always get connected with someone immediately.

Agreed, I have noticed this over the past few days as well. Wait time average I've seen is about ~20-25 minutes. We will see if they will change this soon

They are making the system more automated and have less staff hired. Robots can't fix real problems.
