I have a good working eBay stealth account and accidentally logged onto my restricted original account on the same IP as my new stealth... It's 100% verified with PayPal etc
Will it get banned?

Cant say for sure, only time will tell.

IMO if you logged in to your suspended account using your stealth IP it will link both the accounts. This likely flagged your account for review.

1 time is unlikely to cause major problems - avoid repeating.

ugh i was so close . i verified my account and everything! got my limits to 100 in 2 days. Time to start over :/

It happened to me once or twice. There were no problems after that. You will wait and see. When you log in, do not rush to avoid such mistakes. You have to be focused. Do not do it after drinking alcohol too :)

Whoa just relax. It happens, it's not the end of the world.

IP alone will almost never cause them to link. You'll be fine. Just try to avoid similar tactics that caused your last acct to get shut down.

Here's a good tip for the OP or anyone that's made the mistake of logging into the wrong account

for each user account open a sticky note on the desktop. Put the name and log in details for that specific ebay account. & ONLY log in to ebay and paypal by copy and pasting from the sticky note from now on. I've been using that method for a couple years now and have never made that mistake again. Hope that helps!

This. You might be in the clear but be cautious. Make sure your not obviously listing the same items (same titles,desc, images) which would lead to even more do cern if it does get looked at. A one time hit shouldn’t be too alarming. Imagine logging in from Starbucks and someone who gets banned using the same WiFi. eBay should expect some up crossover, just don’t make it consistent.

If its only IP you should be okay, I would just let the account sit for a week or so.

Cookies / Histroy + IP would be a lot worse

Eventually the account will be limited. I have been doing this many many years (I'm NARU since 2000). You may do 200 more sales, paypal will remove holds, feedback will be over 500 and one day *poof* .

They won't for 1 piece of matching information but will they find another thing? Do you check your email on the same device? The ebay emails have a beacon inside. That would be 2 pieces of info. Did you ever use the same return address? etc....

It seems like it takes around a year for them to go through the database.

If you link 2 non suspended accounts will they still limit / put hold on accounts?

It may not get limited, a one off like this. Hard to say.

Just make sure you have backup accounts in place ready to go, just encase.

It happens, depends on a lot of factors, but if this is the only think that would link you things will probably be ok.

yes , sorry but this is what usually happens , 90% they will find about it .
