got a few takedowns on vero items a weeks after item sold and paid for, therefore sent already. Does anyone know why this happens, its really annoying as it confuses customer and causes drama.

It's the VeRO people being petty. They were behind in their 'work' or on vacation or monitoring some other venue at the time your listing closed. They removed your listing after the fact, via the history. The only purpose for that is to 'paint' you ugly and negate any +FB or DSR you gained from the transaction.
I hope you were at least fortunate enough to maybe have a -FB nuked to your convenience. There may be other 'undocumented features' which may be to your benefit. <wink>

ok so you think its the vero people not just other user, Ebay shouldnt allow this once a transaction is completed, and no its always happened around time customer gets item, so no feedback yet, its happended 3 times lately, fortunately Ive had only one email from customer needing reassurance but otherwise no bad consequences but I will wait and see, havent had feedback either way about them - it really annoys me...
'undocumented features' non comprende

It is definitely the VERO, if the notice from eBAy stated that the "rights owner has notified us."

What was the takedown notice? that gives a better idea of how it was generated.

Was it the MC019 Trademark or the MC019 Copyright?
Don't speed read through or quickly skim over these things before you have them memorized. Buried in all the Bhull Pscheiss you will find the information they must provide you. The information they would prefer that you not notice or act upon. Most people won't anyhow because it's a discomfort of the derriere. But that information can be used for your personal entertainment on a slow and boring day.
If it was the copyright, the look down about 1/2 way. Below where it shows the item listed and the listing number, not far, it will say why the listing was removed. If it was removed by the VeRO member, the name of the firm will be specified.
Even lower, under the part where it gives you the link for taking the intellectual property tutorial, there should be a line like - "You can send an email to: <email addy>
If the line exists and there is an addy there, you can contact them if you want to. If there is no addy or the entire line is not even there, then a competitor ratted you out.
I've heard rumors that somebody paid a group of script-kiddies to play hell on the email addy from one of these odd-ducks. Maybe coincidence, but no VeRO warnings for 3 weeks from that company... And still there are many less than there used to be. Merry Christmas to those who have benefited ;->

^^^As vicvelcro notes, every notice involving a suspension comes with different categories. To get the best info say exactly what the notice is: it's a MC xxx FA or TB etc...they are pretty much bog standard so we can work out an answer

lol vic, I might subscribe VERO email addy to porn sites, maybe even scat sites. They arent going to reply to any email you send them anyway, so might as well have some fun with it.

Dear
Thank you for your recent auction-style listing on eBay. Unfortunately, your item(s) breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site. Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified.
Although there may be similar items currently listed on eBay, please be assured that your listings have not been targeted in any way. We review all listings that are reported to us by eBay members and participants in the VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) Programme, and we rely on these reports to help keep eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell.
We appreciate your membership of our community, so please keep in mind that repeatedly listing items that breach our policies may lead to the suspension of your account.
Here's what to do if you have further questions:
1) To find out more about our intellectual property policies and VeRO take eBay's brief tutorial by copying this link into a new browser window:

2) You may also find it useful to read the "Why eBay May Remove Your Listing" Help page by copying this link into a new browser window:

3) If your item was ended by the VeRO programme, and you think the listing was removed in error have a look at the rights owner's About Me page to review their infringement policies. Then, if you still think that your listing was removed in error, please contact the rights owner and let them know.
If you still have questions after reading this information, you can contact eBay by clicking "Contact Us" on any eBay Help page.
Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

Overall, it looks like you got ratted out by competition or a pissed off customer/former customer. Do I remember something about a stalker a while ago? PM me if you want or need to. Quote:

thought so - stalkers seem to be my speciality, or maybe Im being paranoid. I think it can be either vero owner reps, busy-bodies or competitors on these accounts, you get b*tches dedicated to it on the handbag forum!
As for real stalkers, Ive got a couple on different accounts, I give refunds and dont get complaints hardly at all but come across a couple of vindictive madams. The change user id experiment is underway with stealthyman and I to see if they can be shaken off, if they have bought and are on favourites..will report back

If you have sold any of the same items from the same rights owners ebay will take them down automatically from my experience .. they figure if the listed ones were not good than the sold ones were not either it doesnt have to come from the vero owner.

another thing about this transaction is that the payment money in paypal is showing as pending, cant spend it. I received no email telling me it was on hold, how long will it be pending, I suppose because it was a takedown and money received and ebay is linked to paypal, it holds money - not come across this before. Buyer hasnt left feedback or made any comments, even though they must have received takedown email. Does anyone know how long the money will be pending, do you think pp will automatically refund buyer without arranging for return first?

Even though the listing was removed - the hold process will proceed as normal. If you have tracking on the package, hold will come off a few days later. If buyer leaves feedback, hold comes off early. If no tracking and no feedback and no dispute pops up, hold comes off in 21 days. UNLESS they hold for some other reason like high risk or something.
If buyer freaks out and wants refund, PP will tell them to ship the item back to you. They may not enforce it when all the tally is counted up. Depends on how much the buyer cries (as usual).
