Bought a back up account from here, small account (5/500) and have been browsing, made a few small best offers that were turned down. Then I saw an item I liked that was up for bid at 99 cents. So I made a $1.99 bid and got this message.
"You've reached a temporary Buying restriction"
You can only buy items where you can pay immediately at checkout, yada, yada

In 10 years of ebay I have NEVER seen this. WTF

Bought from Bjammin, VCC verified paypal, GV number attached to GMail. I browsed, put stuff in my watch list, made a best offer bid that was turned down. Brand new purchased ipburger vpn, new computer acct, only cookies are the ones from browsing?


Update, just tried to list a small new item I had bought from Walmart, M@ Micro Bus, MIB and they want me to call a service rep,?

Contact the account seller. I've never had this problem present itself in the form of a buying restriction but I've also never tried buying anything on a new purchased stealth account. Two times in the past I've got that "please call in blah blah blah" message when I went to list the first item on accounts purchased here. Both times I PM'ed the seller who was able to call in and straighten everything out within ten minutes.

All of what you've said is standard on ebay UK and has been for a long time. New accounts can't bid on auctions and very often when you list a first item you need to call in to discuss your selling goals.

Same for Italian accounts. Brand new accounts can't bid... only BIN.

I guess this has been put in place to put a limit on those 0.01 listings that are very useful to new accounts: buy cheap stuff to get feedbacks.

Maybe they are buy it now pay immediately, and you don't have enough funds available...
sounds more like an account glitch.

I recommend you just get the account seller to call in and get it over with. If you're comfortable on the phone and have the right # to call in from you can do it yourself.

Like just_smile said this is just the basic verification call where they ask you about what you intend to sell, if you'll be filling your own orders, if you'll be looking to grow as a seller, etc.. They generally don't try to throw database questions at you on this call.

Just another point you missed

Only a bank account verifies a Paypal

A VCC confirms.

Even though the amounts are so low, Paypal sees you as a riisk.
