Need advice on running virtual machines
 

I have Windows 10 laptops that I use.

Currently I have many users created that I switch between.

I intentionally use as opposed to separate folders with different instances of a portable browser. This is on purpose - so I don't accidentally log into a wrong account with the wrong IP!

What do I need to use a Virtual Machine?
How much space do I need per Virtual Machine setup?
Do I need Windows licences?
How much disk space is used?
Can I install Dropbox and actively use?

From the Virtual machine, can I access a specific drive on my PC?
Like say I create an extra drive to keep common data that I need to access, let's say I assign to drive Z. Can I get all my Virtual Machines to have access to drive Z?

I use VM ware. I have for about 5 years and know how it works so it is what I stick with. You need to download the .iso for windows version you wish to use and plug in to get windows from that .iso file when creating a new VM. Generally my VM are 10GB but I don't run anything else in them and never run out of room.

So you have VM's with VPN setup on each unit? Otherwise you have the same network, even if you have different IP's!
