According to you my claims are bogus but eBay was forced to admit in a lawsuit with SaleFreaks that they do flag drop shipping accounts and then lower their search visibility. In fact if your account has been flagged as a dropshipping account, there will be a 3 digit code to identify it with.

that's something that is actually SMART and completely understandable from a business perspective. Ebay wouldn't want drop shippers on their site and would want to lower their rankings, so that people that actually have the items, are the ones selling the items. Not even remotely close to your assertion of what ebay is doing.

I don't think it's smart of eBay to try and get rid of drop shippers altogether or lower search results of accounts that were flagged for drop shipping. eBay benefits greatly from drop shippers because now buyers are able to purchase products that are higher quality instead of a cheap Chinese junk we typically see being sold on eBay. I used to fulfill my own orders for many years until I decided to migrate and become a drop shipper. While I still condemn this model and feel like we are spamming eBay with more of the same identical products, I do think that eBay has benefited greatly. No longer eBay is considered a place where you buy only used items or cheap Chinese junk. What eBay doesn't like about drop shippers is the amount of cancellations due to items being out of stock. A lot of online businesses these days are switching to drop shipping model because it allows for faster shipping time and gives online businesses more time to focus on product research and marketing instead of on fulfillment. So I would say drop shipping is the future of online commerce.

Ebay is not going to flag your account if you were to complain however they will flag your account if they deem your selling practices as high risk. They aren't going to suspend you but they will place a silent limit on your account.

Oh I know all about silent limits, lol. I was just curious about that specific remark you made since it would probably lead to a class action lawsuit against them if they were doing what you said. No big deal. :thumb:

I highly doubt that anyone could win lawsuit against eBay. Do you know how expensive class action lawsuit would be against eBay.

Most consumers today are not brand loyalists, especial if you are a small brand no one really cares about your brand in general.

No, but as long as a brand has a good reputation for quality, you'll have customers. Ebay is going to start utilizing their catalog more putting everyone into boxes. The cleaned-up search results will mean increased visibility and give room for small shops to shine. So I say brand, brand, brand.

The process is unnerving... Tagged only one product for cataloging for now but the submission process is sketchy. After explaining I manufacture it myself and own the UPC they finally submitted an entry. Before that they took it as I was reselling someone else's product. Guess it's hard to imagine brands exist here. I do and don't look forward to the transition.

Wonder if AMZ would ever pull a fast one on ebay and introduce auctions. Or they'll see what a potential nightmare CS would be and avoid it all together. Won't be too long before you can buy AMZ life insurance.

I've seen a major downturn on eBay as well. Pretty sure smaller sellers are being forced out. They want to be more like Amazon. Good luck eBay.

If I were eBay I'd enhance my own market than try to be like someone else like Amazon.

We’ll delay applying the surcharge for categories rated “Very High” until 1 February, 2019.

Probably do not have enough people to tax at the moment so they are waiting so they can cull a huge amount in one go.

1% is high , very high cant be far off that , after xmas, with all the buyers who care not one jot how much it is costing you for their stupidity on a returned item, the metrix will sky rocket, and ebay can begin stealing more money from the less fortunate.

It's nothing new to business practices to pay higher rates if you're viewed as a risk. I for one am all for it. Crap sellers damage reputation and steer people to other platforms or worse, buying in stores.
