Missing eBay Accounts

I need to fire up a new eBay account so i have worked my way through all of my accounts i created years ago. Practically all of them have gone missing.

Is this just me or has this happened to others to?

All of them have gone missing? When was the last time you logged in to any of them? eBay has been known to clean house on the regular with dormant accounts...

Years ago. That is crazy that they delete dormant accounts.

Can they be re-activated or do i need to create them again from scratch?

The is the first time I've heard of multiple accounts going missing.

If they're really gone, then they're gone and you would have to make new accounts. If they've been deleted from eBay's database I doubt they can be restored. Have you tried calling eBay?

Never heard of an account going missing. Even NARU accounts can be logged into

Is someone perhaps hacking your accounts, changing details over, and you're then unable to login at a later date?

I don't know what the hell is going on guys. Even when i search for the username it says it doesn't exist.

Only having this problem with accounts i have not logged into for years.

I think maybe its time to buy my first ever accounts.

Have you checked the email for that account? Any EB emails?

I would have a look at the email addresses linked to the eBay accounts and see what emails have been sent to the emails. Maybe that can give you more of a clue

I went last night to an old e-mail that was associated with an eBay account I created years ago. There was no notification and I was not able to log into the eB account - just my own experience hmm

Have you tried resetting the passport using the email address?

They deleted the accounts for non use. Its an MC02 or something type of notice.

I made around 500+ accounts and lost around 300+ due to not logging in.

They cannot be restored, but the user names can most likely be reused.

If you made the paypal accounts with the ebay accounts, then the paypals should still be alive.

I have lots of really old accounts that I havent used for years that all still work.

I wonder how long it would take for them to be deleted

Same experience for me.

I even have a bank of accounts that were created 8 years ago and immediately suspended, I spot checked 8 or 10 and all were still able to login.

Yeah I had a bunch of those myself.
Also from 2015.
I never saw the message after that though so it might have been a one time sweep done in 2015. Could be that they had a lot of people who complained about losing their legit accounts so they've never continued the practice.
