When i google whats my ip i get this .. when i go to ipburger i get the same ..
Wtf is this about ??

It is showing a ipv6 address and not a ipv4 address ... If my provider switched to ipv6 that mean there isnt a ipv4 addy anymore ?

seems your ISP enabled IPv6 for you. Normally you should be provided both option (IPv4 and IPv6).
Go into the network settings of your network card and disable IPv6, then check again if you can connect, then check your IP.

Ipv6 has 128 bits and those letters are actually hexadecimal numbers.

C=13 13=1101
f=15 15=1111
1=1 1=0001
2=2 2=0010

So the first octet of your IPv6 address Cf12:: = 1101 1111 0001 0010:: in binary.

yeah can simply disable ipv6 and then you'll always get a ipv4

If you're pulling an IPv6 your ISP is probably using some kind of tunneling protocol. Chances are you have both kinds of IP.

Before disabling IPv6, type "show my IPv4" into Google and see what it says.

Hello! I also have problems with the IP information. I have comcast router, when I reset the router, the IPv4 is the same value but the IPv6 change. It is the same result when I run ipconfig /release from windows.

My question is what IP track Et.sy?? if both Ips, then I need to change the router?

They are tracking both since both of your IP's are automatically logged on their servers when you visit any page they're hosting. If your IPv6 is changing but not your IPv4 then Comcast is definitely using a tunneling protocol. You should ignore your IPv6 changing because that isn't going to matter if your IPv4 isn't changing also. Both would need to change for you to be safe on etsy.

Either change your router or do any one of the many other things you can do to change your IPv4 address.

With IPv6 from a ISP like Comcast it would be Native.

IPS's should be giving you a ::/64 subnet

If I remember right 56 of those addresses are used externally

The ones that shouldn't change are the first 4 octets 2601:9001:3A8A:111::/64

But don't quote me on that just yet, still have a lot to learn about IPv6

Any time there is :: the rest of the numbers are 0's

you cant put :: in two places though, Ie. 2601:9001::111::32

You would have to write it like 2601:9001::111:0000:32

and anytime there is less than 4 numbers Ie. 111 or 32
it's because the leading numbers that are missing are 0 Ie. 0111 or 0032
