MMMM Wonder how GM will manage there DSR since they can't manage there own company

GM told reporters the company now will focus more on customers, including a partnership with the online auctioneer eBay for people to buy vehicles by auction online.

Wonder if that means upcoming VeRO probs for people selling GM memorabilia on ebay and parts/accessories on ebay motors?

bbsugar 07-10-2009 10:16 AM

Their.
Sorry and Thank you.

Vero

I would think those items would fall under the old GM which is out of business. That's why all there law suits are gone now .remember this is the new gov(US/Canada) owned GM

Good point. So memorabilia sales should be ok. ebay motors sales of older items should be ok. would/should it matter with new stuff?

Big company's get special treatment on ebay

Vicvelcro 07-11-2009 08:34 PM

My question was aimed at this : will the little guy have problems listing the products of the 'new' BIG GUY? Not asking if Big Guys will get away with anything they wish to pursue.

If the company asks ebay to do something they DO IT!

If the say its F⊗KE or its breaking thier copy right ebay WILL remove (scratch that DELETE) your products description and images and most likely suspend you . . .

It all depends if the COPY RIGHT OWNERS are assholes or not . . . A rep from ed hardy actually had the decency to call my ebay listed phone number a few years back (when you first where REALLY HOT and before their was alot of bootlegging of the brand) and asked me if I knew the products were not genuine and asked me to remove them myself so I wouldn't loose my ebay account . . . I thought that was really nice of them . . . I dont know what they are doing know but back then thier were really cool about it . . . . they ask me where I got the bootleg ed hardy from . . . lol . . . I told em china town . . . good lucky tracking that down . .. anyway different company have different policy's

P Diddy said publicly that he could care less if the bootleg "SEAN JOHN" he said that even the bootlegs where making his brand famous and because the market place's are not the same it REALISTICALLY does not hurt his sales it only helps them with FREE advertising - The "BOOTLEG" customer that shop from ebay's china sellers or at flea markets is NOT going to "MACY'S" to buy Sean John and vice verse - If anyone the MACY's customer will see the fleamarket customer wearing Sean John and say "hey I like that sean john I am going to macy's to look for it "

So you see it all depends on the company itself

I'm sure its coming. From what I've put together over the years eBay is gearing towards being a place for major corporations only. I could see them canning everyone for listing GM related merchandise.

Vicvelcro 07-14-2009 12:29 AM

That's what I'm getting at. I know how ebay works. Is the new GM likely to be hostile about listings?
