Impressions drop
 

Hi all,
My all impression dropped to 5k no matter what I'm doing ( Listing more, promoting, SEO optimization) maybe someone happening same and find a solution how to fix it? I am selling on UK local, from Amazon.One guy, I read relist all item and say everything was fixed out, but I am scared to do like what because all viewers and views start from 0. They say they be flagged in eBay like dropshipper :help::noidea:

I don't know what is it with eBay lately, but this is happening indeed. I can't get my listings up in search results no matter what even though I am doing exactly what I have done before (which used to work perfectly).

They are switching to the "catalog" so what used to be a great listing strategy isn't so great anymore. I've been having to really work on learning how to optimize my listings for the new program.

Since April the level of throttling has increased.

I keep records of how much traffic I receive on every listing.

More traffic is being directed to Sponsored Listings.

Can tell you which one program did you use?And its help to puy list in the catalog?Your selling on UK or USA market?

The sponsored list did you mean promoting listing in marketing? In Uk not so much competitor so I don't use this one and everything was fine.

To give one example, I used to make listings for "5x 1 item" and then "10x 1 item" at discounted rates since I save on postage with larger orders. Those listings are now grouped together in the catalog with listings for "1x 1 item" so my "$89.99 10x" listing now shows with "$10.99 1x" listings, and they don't stand much of a chance. I would make listings that way to attract wholesale buyers but it doesn't work very well anymore because it looks like I'm just price gouging compared to other similar sellers.

All you can really do is play around with your listing strategy until you find what works best for your category in 2018.

Ebays equivalent to amazons 'buy box'

That is what its important the listing page views to convert to a good click conversion rate. The smaller the gap the between them the better, this means people look at your listing like it and buy it, the large the gap means people looked at it and went "Nahhh, next"


Take a look at some listings you’ll notice a few issues like titles and words that are in them are not vital what people would search on and you’ll notice a few other things, this is one of the causes of loss of impressions

BIN for sure. Auctions do well for collectibles or luxury items I guess. But if you're selling something that buyer's will have to buy regardless, BIN works better I think.

Did I understand correctly, you boost your list, buying from yourself using BIN(buying product without registration in eBay) ?

No, I don't ever buy from myself.

I prefer to use "buy it now" listings rather than auctions is all.

Catalog is just from a google search, though, right? It's the only time I've ever been presented a catalog result.

It's eventually going to be the only thing you see when you search, like on Amazon. They are trying to emulate Amazon because buyers are turned off by scrolling through 3 pages of the same exact item.

I'm not sure how it's being implemented now. TBH I rarely do any buying. But they've been "cataloging" everything I sell so I now have to make sure I'm the most attractive offer or my sales for a listing drop to zilch. That's the only reason I know the catalog exists, really. Because all of my listings say "see more XXXXX item" at the top.

I do a sh|t ton of searching, and NEVER come across the catalog view from within ebay. Only if I follow a google link.

Searching digital thermometer shows the catalog for me. Mobile doesn't show squat.
