Hi,

A quick question.

I have had a warning on two Ebay accounts Re: Vat Reg. They have restricted the accounts (cant update listings) until the number is provided.

I am Vat Registered. However the two accounts are stealth / family members. Can I change the name and address to my real details, call Ebay and register the number. Then change name and address back afterwards?

I do not care about linking the two accounts. I just want to know whether Ebay will accept one VAT number on 2 or 3 accounts.

You should not be changing info and changing back - huge flag.

Using same VAT number will cause link but is it enough to bring down the accounts? Can never be 100% sure

To be honest no way around it don’t let your accounts hit the vat threshold limit the turnover to about 50k - 60k and then move over to another account. Open more stealth accounts and spread your sales.

Im not sure if they would let you use the same VAT number across several accounts.

It would without a doubt link them, but seems that isnt an issue in your case

You could try giving them a ring and see what they have to say about it
