USA ebay business account question

Hi,

On a USA personal ebay account when I request higher selling limits it offers me the option to upgrade to a business account.

If I do this will I have to supply a EIN? From what I understand the EIN is to upgrade paypal to a business account.

Will upgrading ebay account to a business one mean that the attached paypal also upgrades to a business one?

You can upgrade one and not the other, so you wouldn't be required to add an EIN to Paypal if you upgraded your Ebay to business.
