"10% discount" or "give 10% for promoted listing"?
 

Hi guys,

I just wondering if what method give the best results in term of number of sale as that 2 method will give the same profit giving that you are established ebay store and up price by 10%

The only different I can see is your listing will have higher chance of stading on top of the search if using promoted listing.

Its going to totally depend on the items

Its case of playing around and seeing what has the best result. If you have 2 accounts selling the same item you can try to do one of each method on each account

Or you can also rotate those promotions every week.

This also gives customers the view that the promo they want isn't always there and it'll make them decide faster to buy.

Well, the thing is I have to adjust the prices for all variations if rotate that 2 methods. And this take time to do

Long term the 10% discount will work better, will move you up best match better as the clicks will convert more often.
Promoted listings won't convert aswell, Ebay will see they sent you x amount of traffic and it converted at a lower rate so they won't rank you as high.
