High Risk Item

Is selling 3 of my used watches considered high risk item?

If they are expensive watches, then yes.

Re: High Risk Item

Watches, Jewelry, Coins, Collectibles/Antiques, and related stuff are indeed high risk sales.

Risk is determined by a variety of factors. The TYPE of watch, and it's price will be a big part of it. For example, ROLEX is one of the most ⊗⊗⊗⊗d watches in the world. In fact, some of them are so good that even some jewelers have a tough time telling the difference. High end watches are notorious for being ⊗⊗⊗⊗d, and many other common brands. It's a matter if authenticity, as there are so many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ out there.

if you list any well known watch, esp. a Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, Movado, Cartier, Gucci, etc. expect plenty of "VeRo bots" to come visit your listing. ;) Your account had better be established with no prior issues.

Even if your fine timepieces are the real deal, you need to be careful and make sure you take lots of pictures, along with all the original boxes/packaging, and of course your papers/receipts, and a certificate of appraisal/authenticity if you can get one.

Not too familar with the Tommy Hilfiger watches, I thought they were mostly a fine clothing line.

How much are you looking to get for them?

Since your are trying to list watches, if they are just lower to midrange resale pieces, you might be OK. Check other sellers who have listed the same watch you put up? Are they establised sellers? How many of that particular item have they actually sold? What else are they selling? Check feedback and see what they may have sold in the past. You get the idea. Do your research.

If it's a popular brand that is VeRo controlled, you'll pretty much know if it will be a problem since you'll get your listing removed and a VERO strike. If not, and it's not crazy expensive, you might be OK. Just don't list all of them at the same time, space out sales and make sure you show plenty of pictures and accurately describe in your listings.

You can just never be too careful in this type of category. I deal with some high end collectibles myself and know this can sometimes be a problem.

If your account has been selling for a few weeks or months then you would probably be safe to list your Tommy Hilfiger watch. Hilfiger is a well known brand which is commonly counterfeited so there is some risk that eBay and/or Paypal will request an invoice.

Personally I wouldn't list it just yet. I would wait until the account has at least a few dozen feedback.
