Is paypal supposed to release funds after....
 

Hey fellows. is Paypal supposed to release funds that were on hold from after they made a payment via paypal. I know that last time i basically had to call them and tell them that my money is on hold and i wanted it released. so they asked for tracking. which i dont understand why. since it was listed there from day 1and today will be the 3rd day but its saturday and i doubt paypal counts sunday as a working day. so by monday should my funds e released?

As i also found out that paypal and eBay are no longer partners but 99% of all transactions are still going threw paypal.

But if anyone can shed some light as to how i will be able to collect the money from paypal

Payment holds are standard protocol on Paypal. Ship orders like you're supposed to and provide good customer service, and the payment will be released within a few days.

Sometimes payments don't release on their own (extremely rare) and in those cases you'll have to ask Paypal to manually release it for you.

If you click on the relevant paypal transaction, it should say somewhere roughly when payment is due to be released from hold.

So as a new seller they'll have 21 day hold.
The best thing you can do is ship super fast using their system so the tracking uploads automatically, ask customer to leave you positive feedback and your funds will be released sooner.

Do NOT call them over this again.

In an hour or 2 after tracking number shows delivered. You can
check selling --> sold. look for the item, then you will
see the fund release date. Usually I got fund available next day after
item delivered. General rule is 3 days after item delivered.

For both EB/PP tracking is everything. In fact, their security algorithm is setup whereby you don't upload tracking, the risk for your account goes up considerably. Funds are likely going to be held to the maximum for those sales.

Best to go this extra step to build account trust.

I would always add tracking, especially on new/premature accounts. There's so much more emphasis on this now.
