Ebay is Weird reduced listing amount
 

So I bought two backup accounts on here and have been working one to get it raised, nice increase from 5/500 to 240/12,000. So I lost my main account and migrated my best sellers to this account. The other one I bought I had been just browsing and looking but not posting.

Since I lost an account I decide to start posting on the back up one. Had an email from ebay saying they had reduced my listing amount from 10 to 5? WTF. LOL I guess I should have posted 10 cheap items. Is this unusual.

From the UK side, definitely unusual.

I've got accounts with ridiculously high limits, something like 20,000 / £150k. I never list anywhere near that on any account as I spread sales out. It's been like that for years.

The only things I can think of is if a) your metrics have recently dropped? DSRs/Negative ratings?

or b) account got linked to another ebay account, so they've distributed the limits on both accounts.

Sounds like you are linked and they split the listings between the 2 accounts.

Never sold on this account before, bought it 4 months ago, on separate computer and VPN.

Either the first item you listed, or something about how your account was originally created, was flagged as suspicious and they reduced your limit. I've had selling limits decrease once or twice so I wouldn't call it unusual.

Regardless, your chances or getting a listing allowance increase are still the same so I would sell as usual and let the limits raise themselves naturally.

They saw either your items or your activity on your account and thought they are rather suspicious even when it's not at all.

I'd keep this account and just max out the 5/mo since it's small and easy then see what happens in a month.

All my other accounts got banned, so that cannot be it.

It could of been linked to one of your other accounts that got banned - and they decided to lower this ones limit rather than suspend it altogether. That has happened before.

Or it may be linked to an account that you have no knowledge of. This is extremely rare, but does happen.

I'd start from scratch if it bothers you too much.
