How much negative feedback could eBay take?
 

I see sellers with feedback scores like 95%. For example, a seller I know has had 506 positives and 45 negatives this month.

I see sellers on Amazon with 30% negatives a month and they're still up.



What do you think?

They say bad feedback can't kill an eBay account anymore as long as account metrics are good. They took feedback out of metrics.

Can't comment on Amazon. I've heard they're brutal.

All about learning how the system works

Buyers care about feedback. If I see someone that low I tend to go somewhere else, but eBay only cares about DSR, so their accounts remain top rated.

I got TRS about two days after they killed my ebay acct. LOL

Happens all the time. Account evaluation happened after they axed your account. I always have accounts go Top Rated after the PP has been tax limited for the year. :mad2:

TRS was a slap in the face to us "Powerseller" back in the day.

"at least 100 transactions and $1,000 in sales" in a year. lol

TRS only takes sales within a certain period, and DSRs into account. eBay only care about those DSRs now, as it helps them evaluate a sellers performance more decisively.

Feedback hasn't got any credence anymore. It only takes one call to eBay now to get negs removed.

I dont think buyers look at feedback % too much either. I'm not sure. I may be wrong.

I personally read negative feedback though, just to ensure the item is likely to be the real deal, and customers haven't had bad experiences before.

DSR is where it's at.
It seems that feedback don't almost matter anymore, but it'll factor in search standing.

I know a seller having 5000+ positives a month with over 100+ negs.

But I prefer to keep my account at a high feedback score regardless.

We had that one member here a while back swearing he was getting more for his auctions just because he increased from 2000 to 3000 feedback. I was like STFU... no you aint! haha

ive seen people with 60% positive, suprised he was getting sales..
