You cant do it on a new account, you need to work your way up.

List items slowly, and work your way up.

Spread sales over multiple accounts to help you get there faster.

Some people list to the max right away, and know that it's a high risk strategy.

Others take there time and gradually increase sales over a period of months.

Dont max it out

List 50 items one week

Another 50 the next week.

100 the week after

So on so forth

Take things easy. Start slow. List one item to begin with, and gradually work your way up.

If you list too many items, or go too fast, you will get limited really quickly.

I had a account that gave me 1000 items to start with a while back. I listed the whole 1000 items the first week, and everything went good and not banned.

Wow! Impressive.

But, this is really not advised. I mean, I'm sure you might get away with listing the max to your limits, but it's not recommended on a new account.

Slow & steady is always safer.

Agree with nickopedia - congrats though on the max hit

You dont need to list slowly. That's a myth ... Call ebay and ask them for high limit or use service like I do who will increase your limit to 500k and list as many items as you need ... If they suspend you just call them and they will reinstate you right away.

As crazy as this sounds, I am almost inclined to believe it.

The reason is because sometimes we are told over and over again we can't do this, shouldn't do that, etc.

Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean it's a good practice.

On the other hand, what do you have to lose so as long as it's a new account, right?

My mindset has changed since I became a bulk drop shipper. Someone who uploads thousands of listings in less than a week I am not going to wait a single day so I could list a few items. It's an old myth on this forum that has been told over and over again since it's creation. eBay is going to restrict your account anyways at some point so why not reinstate your account earlier so you could sell without constantly being worried.

Hmmm?

You mention you are just hitting your last listings on a new account, without waiting? Is that right?

Are you doing anything to season the account(s) before you list? How are you uploading the new listings? I would guess it wouldn't be manual, and your items are soilid, esp. if you are very familiar with them and their sources.

I've got more than a few slealths and found that some of the new ones can take an amazing amount of "abuse" such as cancellation, returns, refunds, and the like without having any problem. On the other hand, I've also had accounts suspended simply because two $25 sales were too much (according to PayPal). I had yet another account less than 30 days old that made $3,500 in sales with the SAME items and never had any request for documents.

It just depends. Sometimes I get lucky, and other times not. It's just a safe bet to assume you'll have fewer problems by going slow & steady. That's the "proper" and most prudent advise usually given here.

I'd say more power to you if this works for you.
