how does ebay verify my credit card when adding for payment methond
 

Quick question does ebay take money like PP From my CC to Verify card, i know PP will take $ an send you code does ebay do the same, or do they just check the info.

I'm 99% sure they just do a test authorization without debiting any money. I don't remember them doing a test charge when I added my card, but I'll go into online banking and check for you.

eBay used to charge $1 at one time when you added a card, but I don't think they do that anymore. I recently added a prepaid card to one of my newish eBays and didn't see any authorization/transaction.

I do know PayPal authorizes $1.95 when verifying the card along with an EXPUSE code.

Thanks i never used a CC for ebay fees always PP, I know PP Takes $ an send code, all the ebay accounts i made i always used PP as a payment method. but know they want me to add CC or Bank account

I just checked my online banking and didn't see any test charges from 02/2017 when I added my card. That doesn't say much though because if they did do a test charge it would have cancelled itself out and not shown up on my statement.

You shouldn't have any problems paying your fees with a card. One of our accounts pays fees with a business debit card every month, and the zip codes on acct/card don't match.

it's a new account a little over 30 days old, i been listing items slowly an normally after listing a certain amount of items ebay will ask to add payment method an i would just use PP. This time they want me to add a CC. all info on CC will Match other than the name. Just didn't load cash on it.

Hmmmm..

Worst that can happen is the card gets rejected. Probably better to try with a card having like $5 on it just to play it safe. I'm not sure if they can even do a test authorization if there's $0 on the card.

Always keep about $3 on it for test charge purposes.
