Did I get scamed ??
 

Hello it's my first eBay transaction so I'm a little bit lost. Basically I bought a laptop in Friday for 700p and made a payment in Saturday at 12:00. Seller said that he will send package asap! In Monday 16:14 he msg to me that he is rly sorry ,he didn't read the messages over the weekend ,and that he will send it tomorrow. So today is wedsday. Since I bought an item on ebay app statement is "order is being prepared". And seller is not responding for msg anymore... I tried to find his telephone number on ebay advanced search but it's saying "This feature has been deprecated"

No you haven't been scammed. At least not yet since you're covered by buyer protection. Look up how to open an item not received claim on eBay or Paypal. That will probably get the sellers attention. If it doesn't then you can ask eBay or Paypal to step in and help, and they will refund your payment.

It's not at all uncommon for some sellers to take a bit more time to ship out things. It's not a big deal unless you are in a hurry.

I once had a buyer who literally was bugging the hell out of me from like 1 hour after he paid for the item, on a saturday night mind you. When he started threatening to open a case by monday morning for it taking too long to ship out, I simply cancelled the sale and refunded and sent him a message saying that since he was so inpatient, I felt uncomfortable selling to him. He never wrote me back after that.

Please don't be "that customer" and give the seller some time to prepare your order and ship it. As Phaz says above, you are well covered by layers of buyer protection + PayPal as well.

I would give him a couple of days.

If its a private seller they may just be struggling to get to the post office. Have you looked at their dispatch time?

Oh, and in regards to the phone number part, it's like that for everyone now. About a year ago eBay did away with allowing members to look up the phone # of other members, but they left links to that page for whatever reason..

Its not case of one night ,but 5 days already. I was patient ,cos it's sems obvious for me that it's almost impossible to send package over the weekend ,but today is wedsday. I was on his profile but he don't have specific send time. eBay "prediction "? Have specific that package suppose to be tomorow...thats why I can't place item not received (but thx for that I didn't know about that option ). Also there is red mark next to postage date in dispatch status but it doesn't mean that he send it right? Cos everything else is empty. I'll place a picture https://imgur.com/a/bGfInZn

You'll have to host the image first at a place like postimages then use the image URL they give you to post your picture here.

Seller hasn't shipped yet is all. I doubt he's trying to scam you since there's no way this would work as a scam (you're covered in multiple ways).

I'd just give the guy a while to ship. In the worst case you can open an INR case in a while like I mentioned earlier.

Ok than. Ty everyone for help ,I'll wait until tomorow to see what will happend if status of the package will be still same I'll open the INR case. I'm closing the topic.
