Possible to combat effects of below standard?
 

I'm really bad at customer service, and one of my top accounts just went below standard (forecasted to be below standard on the 20th). Right before Black Friday too... f*ck!

I have some items on here that are ranked SUPER high in eBay search, and I'm afraid the below standard designation will bury them in search.

Is there any way at all to combat this? The account has about 300 sales so far, and I'd be able to wipe the below standard designation if I can sell 100 more items by the 20th (since the increased sale count would counteract the effects of the defects). But thats not realistic.


Any chance that opening a basic store and paying for some sponsored listings would help keep my listings in the game? Or, any other ideas?

Lower your prices, or sell some low value high volume item.. Ship it out on time and it can help you..

^^Agreed. High volume in short timeframe is your only hope.

So I was able to sell a CRAP ton of stuff as of today (the 21st), but I JUST missed the Nov 20th evaluation period. So I'm below standard now, with my account projected to be TRS on Dec 20. Just in time to miss holiday sales.... f*ck!

Does eBay ever expedite evaluation periods for sellers if I call it in and ask to speak to someone? Apparently there's a seller performance department, perhaps I can try calling tomorrow

Sometimes I have gotten lucky calling in and asking if they can remove some defects, esp. the ones having to do with shipping. Very often I can get them to do that and it can make enough of a difference to stay above standard.

as many have said you will need many items sold in a short amount of time
