Weekly listings increase on new account question

Quick question.

On a new account you have a listing schedule and week by week add slowly more items for sale.

What happens if those items from week 1 don't sell? Does that mean the week 2 increase should be put on hold until you sell those week 1 items..

You can list more slowly even if those items don't sell
