Why is EBAY Auto approving my returns?
 

So I noticed ebay has been auto approving my returns, AND Automatically sending a return label, even though I do not offer free returns.

How is that possible? As from what I read, It seems like they are only auto approving returns if you offer "Free Returns"

is there something else I am missing here? I thought ebays auto approve was only for "free returns"

Anything bought online has a 14 day cool off period legally ..... EB is no different. I've noticed they are doing the same with one of my accounts that I sell underwear on!!! Obv these have to go in the bin!

They changed their policy so that most returns are auto-accepted in order to make it easier for the buyer.

They accepted one automatically that said "Item works fine. Seller is piece of ****".

It forced me to send him a label...

well they are auto accepting AND auto-sending a return label which them sending a return label is the main problem. as I want to send my own labels since Im using stealth accounts.

its weird because some returns they auto-send a label, and other returns on the same account they will want me to approve and send my own label.

I have no settings set to auto approve anything or auto send any labels so not sure what is going on yet exactly.

The automatic approval and auto sending of labels is included in their new changes, but from what I can see that is only if you offer free returns.

Im not offering free returns and they are still auto sending the labels, not sure why?

The last couple of my returns were also auto-accepted.

But not for no returns listings. I just denied a return today.

Buyer at fault are approved, seller at fault are not.

I dont think so, ebays approved returns where buyer stated item is defective, and already provided a label, but i had to contact the buyer and tell them its the wrong address and needs to be updated which saved me. This is why i write on listings to contact me if you want to return but no one listens, [emoji53]

Yikes, okay. Must've changed recently. Looks like any return that isn't an exchange/replacement request or no returns policy is auto accepted.
