Product Reviews. WTF is wrong with them?!!
 

eBay pages say buyers are more likely to buy products that have reviews attached to them. As a result, one could conclude that listings with reviews would be placed better, right?!


Anyway, in the world of eBay's ambiguity, one couldn't help but wonder, how the f to make these reviews appear on listings :noidea:


I tried changing the UPN, EAN, Photo sizes, title or even the product's description, but nothing seems to work.


I find this way more than disturbing to be honest. Sometimes I have to take a hit in sales because of someone's else product's reviews. Other times the d**n reviews won't show up no matter what :ballchain:



What do you do normally in this regard? Any advice would be appreciated!

Click "sell similar" on another seller's listing who is already showing reviews. Problem solved.

I tried this a ton of times, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.


I have suspicion that listings with reviews will get ranked higher in search automatically and bring more sales.


Any thoughts from previous experience on this?

I do agree, these product reviews are sometimes a problem for sales.

I know for a fact it deters some buyers because I have actually received PM's from potential buyers concerned about some "review" they read at the bottom of my listings. For me, I feel it has hurt my sales in some categories.

I have yet to find a way to reliably turn them off as walkingupwards has indicated above.

My point is, do listings that have product reviews attached to them get placed better in search results?

I noticed that if a listing has no reviews appearing on it, it will get stuck and won't go up as quickly.
