I don't know what is it exactly with eBay, but I am getting no views at all for newly listed items.

I noticed that eBay is "ghosting" some listings, especially on new account in some categories. They might not show up in search for at least a day or more. I suspect they are doing some "review" during that time. This is nothing new, but they seem to be doing it a lot more lately.

One way you can tell for sure is to search for the ITEM # of the listing. If you don't find it, it means it's not visible yet.

The listings are definitely up and show in search results. I noticed this is happening not just with me, but with a bunch of other sellers.

eBay seems to have fixated listings from a bunch of new sellers.

The Cassini search algorithm can be a strange thing. I've seen fresh new accounts literally a day or two old fetch first place in the search listings, and established TRS sellers in the same category get pushed to the back of the line.

Depends on a multitude of factors, all of which can change at any time.

If theyre showing up in the results theres no way to prevent people from viewing them. You can test this yourself by viewing it from another account (the beauty of stealth). Easily tested.

Not at all, but as Nicopedia has said, the eBay search algorithm function weirdly sometimes.

I was thinking same thing. It’s Xmas time so everything is selling I’ve actually had to pull back on a couple new accounts because items were selling faster than I wanted.

The types of items may have a lot to do with it. I just listed a crapload of trains (locomotives) for a client, and they started taking a lot of views as soon as I put them up. On the other hand, some toys I put up didn't get much, if any attention during that same period.

I had this experience on new accs. Listings where auctions, not BIN. Good count of views you can get in last 12h of listing
