Default The limits of ebay and Paypal

I am an experienced seller of many many years on ebay.
I've learned everything in the awesome stealth guide.
But being dumb I STILL fall foul of going tooo quick.

I think we need to redefine the limits.
There are more than one limit and different levels.

For example, you could sell 1000 $0.99 items and then go to sell something for $70 - and be wiped out by ebay. (I just made that up - not sure if true.)

I was stooopid. I had one account - was someone elses. They had like 200 feedback (as a buyer only) - registered 8 years ago. I sold a 2-3 items less than $10 (over the course of 2 months). Then sold 2 weeks after the last sale 7 items for $80, all items sent tracked.

Blocked. First day.
Banned for life the next.
They just didn't want to know when spoken on the phone!

(Yes, I know I was a big dumbo trying to sell so quick! I knew it was wrong. I thought I was Superman. LOL)

General advice: go slow and steady.
What would be helpful is to know... sell 25 items @$1-$5... in the first month...
Then sell 10 items at $20-$50... in the 2nd month
Then sell 10 items at $80... in the 3rd month
In the 4th month, you are a free bird, free of all shackles and can sell without any limits or fear of big brother watching!

So I made those numbers up... but those numbers definitely do exist.

Would be awesome if someone experimented and fed back to the rest of us.

All the talk about not selling much is bull****, thats why 21day hold exists.

Why don't YOU test this and report back to us instead of asking someone else to do so?
Also, youre ignoring the FACT that the items you sell have a LOT to do with everything youre talking about. Sell high risk items and you can get shut down regardless of how little the number of items sold is. Same applies to the price of these items. In other words youre analysis is way oversimplified...

sounds like to me you've "learned everything in the awesome stealth guide" BUUUUT you still haven't Learned Patients lol it has nothing to do with the items sell or the dollar amount. on ALLLL of my stealths the cheapest thing is $99 I dont sell anything less than $99 and all of my account are up and running just fine... this is one of thos situations where its not the operation... IT's THE OPERATOR!!

I think it completely depends. On a stealth account I bought from @SLokor, I sold a few 7.99 items, like maybe 5? Waited a little, and sell $50-$60 items all day. Probably sold $5k this month on it since it was the end of the year.

Account is just fine. I believe it has a lot to do with the item you sell.

@ouako - thank for the input.
Others seem to want to shoot me down.

Yes... I will indeed to research and feedback here.
I've got so much from the forums, happy to give back.

ebay must have some some sort of algorithm like 10 sales of above $8 and that seller gets out of big brothers watch. + There must be more levels + other rules relating if brands are sold for example. But ultimately, ALL rules they have are possible to figure out.

21 day holds - no problem. Being banned and kicked out for life - a different matter.

@Nyco - yes, ultimately, I fell flat on my face. Lessons well learned.
