New stealth restricted phone ebay to verify identity
 

Hi im new here need some help i had stealth account for 3years but its got suspended no way of getting it back this was october 2018 so i made a new stealth let it sit there for 2months i brought the odd items , yesterday i went to list some items just baby clothes, 1 hour later had a email to phone ebay to verify my identity is this normal for new sellers what kind of questions do they ask?

Maybe it's something they are doing more on UK accounts now.

The questions are likely from public database asking about reletives, their ages, property you lived at, vehicles you owned, and other such info.

At least on USA accounts, some new seller accounts created with virtual phone numbers, or listing some risky items will get hit with a 0/0 selling restriction from the get go, and eBay may ask questions from public records databases. I see them doing this more at least on USA accounts are concerned.

It's normal when listing your first item.

They will ask things like "do you have a supplier? How fast do you post items? Etc"

All simple stuff. Takes 5 minutes :)
