Auction . Fixed price listing duration

Who in here uses 3 / 5 / 7 day listings and even good till cancelled?

I find that GtC kills the traffic to your listing and I'm not sure if the old Algo of having a shorting listing time would actually bump you up in the search results anymore.

Depends what I am selling

Mostly 3 days unless its something really expensive then I use 7 days (generally for items that people want to view before hand). I sell mainly as single item auction though not BIN

5 day and GtC is good for items sold in bulk using BIN. Length then depends on the price and what I am trying to get out of the listing. GtC tends to be super cheap items for feedback. 5 day for items that have good margins. 5 days strikes a nice balance between duration, listing fees and visibility for me. 7 days for BIN seems to get less daily sales from testing. 3 day BINs have the same daily sales as 5 day BINs.

That is my way of doing things at least!

GTC. Some listings took 1yr + to hit front page.

100% GTC with out of stock enabled.

But, I think listings hit a "peak" traffic at a certain point and then it seems to be downhill after that. So it's best to be routinely adding new listings into the mix if you're using all GTC BIN listings.

edit: some of my listings are 3+ yrs old with tens of thousands sold

Does the UK charge the $1.00 listing fee for 1 and 3 day listings?

Really depends on the shop sub you get and what extras you put into the listing.

I use GTC with items that the value has pretty much been set, if I sell the same item on auction it RARELY brings the GTC price and usually sells for cheaper, only use auction on new items to set value.

Fees for the other time periods have not been impacted yet though right? I have had some auto-renewing without fees on the longer periods

It seems that even with 5 day listings vs 3 day I see a different.
Going back to 3 day listings and see if I make more sales vs 5.

5 day seems to work alright for my regular maintenance listings
