Residential vs Datacenter Proxies. Is Datacenter enough?
 

Is a datacenter dedicated IP proxy sufficient for Ebay/Paypal? Or will I have to use residential?

I am interested in switching to Multiloginapp (MLA) to manage my accounts which will require me to use proxies instead of VPN. I have been using dedicated IP through VPN successfully for years but won't be able to with MLA.

Most proxies (inlcuding IP Burger & 24vc) use datacenter IP's.

Yes, they are generally fine except for the fact you need to ensure the provider you use is not sharing them, or giving you IP's that were recently recycled or abused (blacklisted). There is no such thing as a truly "virgin" range of ipv4 addresses these days, unless it's a fresh assignment directly from ARIN (American Registery of Internet Numbers).

Of course Residential proxiers are even better for obvious reasons, but they are a bit more expensive than datacenter ones. I do have my own sources for residerntial IP's, and believe them are better in my own experience. This is not to say datacenter IP's are bad, just that you need to be a little more careful where you get them from. This is why a provider like IP Burger would assign Fresh IP's that are no shared or had been allocated to someone else, at least in a good awhile.

One of the bigger companies like Luminati.io, would their dedicated IPs be highly reused or would be good or bad for ebay? It appears to me IPBurger is only for VPN not proxy.

I use dedicated residential proxies. Luminati is grossly expensive and shares larger chunks of their clients via a service called Hola. It's essenially a huge botnet.

Make no mistake though, big ecomm sites like Amazon, eBay, PayPal, and banks risk scoring algos do take into account that residential IP ranges are by nature shared. It's not uncommon for a commercial ISP such as Comcast, Cox, Verzion, AT&T, Charter, etc to NAT several of their customers through a single common gateway IP.

Would using a shared residential proxies work out? I mean if you use ones from the same city.
For example, rotating residential proxy ones? There seem to be a few cheap providers, but the rotations might ring an alarm or go trough if those are going all from NY for example?

datacenter Dedicated IP is enough for paypal and ebay.

IPburger is a VPN, not a proxy.

about MLA, I'm not sure what to tell you since I use traditional fool proof methods.

So why can't it use a VPN?

With MultiloginApp you can put proxies into each browser and have 3-4 eBay open at the same time without linking. VPN limits to one which kinda makes MLA pointless.
