New Ebay Account with real info
 

So I got banned 4 years ago for doing something stupid on ebay. Discovered this site and been stealth every since, get suspended a lot, but make about 50K a year on ebay. So 3 months ago I signed up with Ebay with a variation of my last name with address just one digit off. Surfed around a lot for 2-3 weeks and then basically forgot about it.

At the same time I signed up with Paypal using the same info. Even my real phone number. Didn't do any anything with it and basically forgot about it.

So today I get a message from paypal saying in 60 days they will cancel paypal as there has been no activity on it.


So I logged on to Ebay with new computer acct, new vpn and logged onto Ebay and I have several messages from Ebay imploring me to sell. So I thought what the heck, I listed an item, got a verification code on my phone.

Seems like everything is going to work. I guess after 4 years so many people change phone numbers that this is not an issue. We will see. Going to list HO Scale Train stuff slowly for 6 months to build up trust.

Best of luck - best to see how healthy the account is in 90 days....too soon to jump the gun

It's never been hard to make a new account with variations of your real info. What's hard, and what creates linkages to your old account if you aren't careful, is the tax ID you give Paypal when the time comes.

I did all this myself years ago before I learned about stealth accounts. Got banned and just made a new account with my moms address and a variation of my name. Everything went fine for months. I got to 200 and gave Paypal my SSN, not knowing that would cause a link. I was able to sell on the new account right up until January 2012. When they issued a 1099 for the new account it was linked to my old account by SSN, and then it was permanently limited.

Long story short, give an EIN and not your SSN if you give PP a tax ID at any point.
