Is watching own items o.k?
 

Watching a newly listed item will give that listing a boost and place it higher in search. I usually create a buyer account and start watching my own newly listed items.


Is it o.k to watch these items using my seller account? I mean the option is there, but is doing that fine with eBay?

Yes it's fine. They don't care.

I've watched my own listings occasionally since I started selling.

EDIT: It's kind of cool because you'll start seeing your own listings being suggested to you on the home page.

Will watching own listing via the same selling account boost the listing's ranking? I have not tried it yet :dance:

I cant imagine watching your own listings, from the same account you're selling the item on doing much.

Even if it did, you'll only be increasing watch count by 1.

You want a lot more than that to have a more drastic impact on search rankings.

I doubt you'll notice any difference.

As far as I'm concerned having a bunch of watchers for your listing does little to nothing these days.

You are being too paranoid.

There is nothing wrong with watching your own items from other accounts, I have been doing this very thing for many years without any issues.
