When I got my merchant account, which belongs to one of my LLC's, they checked my personal credit during the application process. You can't legally stealth a personal credit report.. so that's why people are concerned.

IDK if it's going to be so in depth but it could be. :noidea:

It doesn't appear Adyen is going to be stealth-friendly.

It doesn't seem to be possible to open stealth accounts on ETY any more since Adyen took over.

I'm guessing it's going to be equally hard on EB.

I doubt that. The purpose of an LLC is to separate you from your business and its recommended that you set up business accounts to go with your LLC and those have only your business name on them. I went to the Adyen website and checked that out and they actually do require a copy of a photo ID but they tell you that you can block out any identifying numbers when you send it in so I don't imagine it would be difficult to use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID if they indeed ask for one. I read somewhere that someone said it would have to be set up like Stealth Amazon accounts. I haven't read that book yet so I don't know how difficult that will be or how it works, but I do see a person selling stealth Amazon accounts on here.

I set up a Stripe account with real information last week and I was sorting through orders trying to figure out how to process them because in Stripe you only see the totals and not what they ordered. Then I suddenly realized "Oh yeah, they do that because it's none of their damn business what people are ordering from you, lol.

I can tell you when reviewing the information they were asking me for they asked for the main "something" on the account and that was set up just like PayPal with a person name and the last 4 of the social.

How much does it cost annually for a LLC? I have a DBA checking account right now. I remember setting up a LLC years ago and the only cost was the application/paperwork fee but i ended up doing no business with it and the state ended up closing it when i didnt file taxes that year for it.

One thing people arn't talking about with Adyen is the payment holding when an account is suspended/limited.

Right now, at least with USA PayPal they can hold your payments for 180 days once they limit or part ways with you.

Adyen, like any managed payments I would be more in line with how Amazon works. If you guys take a look at the Amazon threads, you will see many situtations where Amazon holds sellers funds forever, or indefinitely.

I'm wondering if that will also be the case when (and if) we are forced to use eBay's Managed Payments?

it varies by state. In Arkansas, it's 50 dollars.

Payments can be pushed daily, though. So you'll never have a sh*tload in there for them to keep.

Oh, it's every bit their business... what you're selling! They'll suspend your a55 in a heartbeat if you sell things not approved by them.

I have Stripe, too. My biggest complaint with them is their "we don't give a phuck about your chargeback" policy.

With Adyen, perhaps making the names as a business that's associated with the eBay account would work? Speculations of course.

I have yet to experience the Managed Payments enrollment on any of my stealths, but I'll be curious to see how much information they require.

The real question is what does Adyen share with ebay? Obviously this will be your name, company, address, email, phone, etc. but do they share SSN with eB or does eB/Pypal share suspended account info with adyen?? these are the more important questions. If you can make a legit adyen account with different LLC name/address/etc than a burned account and adyen only shares minimal info with eB, than life is good. But who cares if eB gets your real name if all the other info is different from your burned account. Thousands of people in my city have my real name....

edit: you can signup offsite and create adyen account then link it to eB later?

Here is where I am at. I haven't sent in the information yet. They are asking for the beneficiary of the LLC. I have put down the stealth information and the last 4 of the EIN. However, I am the beneficiary of the LLC and the EIN. i found this online today also.

So, the question is, will the stealth information work?

I guess this means I could form a separate LLC to add as the beneficiary of the first LLC? I went to my .gov website and the LLC application appears to allow either an entity name or an individual name.

As if my accountant didn't already hate me.
