eBay wants me to contact them to reopen a suspended account.
 

I had a business selling account that was high volume small sales and nothing iffy sold, had 52,000 feedback, top rated seller. It was suspended in 2017 due to unfounded vero complaints and then reinstated due to sales volume and then was suspended again about 2 months later with no appeal due to original vero complaints.

Ebay last month invited me to contact them, they have a special office to reinstate accounts, as they want my volume sales. the email took me to a link where I could schedule a 30 minute telephone meeting.

Unfortunately I liquidated the company due to a competitor suing me and their pockets were bigger than mine, so I have not contacted them to reinstate the account.

Has anybody else had this offer from eBay, it seems that they want previous legitimate sellers back on board.

Yeah I did, they had a bunch of these last year and a lot of us got accounts back. Mine was not a high volume acct like yours only did like $25000 the year before I got suspended for bogus complaint from JUST ONE disgruntled buyer. She bought 20 items and then returned half of them as not as described although they were actually as described she just didn't read the description.

I was really hoping that someday eBay will contact me also to reinstate my beloved account.

So you got suspended just because a buyer returned some items and clicked "item not as described"?!!


How many transactions have you had? What was the return quota on your account?

I once had a proper account and on the 10th sale the customer left counterfeit in the feedback (which was a unfounded complaint) and the account got shut down with no appeal.

WTF!! I seel sellers getting negative feedback about phakes all the time. non of them got shut down. As far as I know, eBay won't take anybody's word, but the rights owner themselves in such cases.

She bought 25 items, and then I guess her husband fussed at her ($450) and then messaged me and I said no problem ship back and I will refund you, whe wanted me to pay for all of the shipping with tracking, my setup said buyer pays shipping, so she put items not as described and I had to pay for return shipping and then she put in bad feedback. So I lost the account. 99.5% positive feedback before she started her hijinks.

How many transactions have you had in total on that account? I have had 69 returns in the last 12 months (item not as described) and the account never got suspended based on that. However, I've also had 3000+ transactions on that account. So the return quota was something around 2%.

What was your return quota?
