Does anyone know if M2E Pro (the magento plug in which syncs inventory across ebay and amazon accounts) does anything from my local server?

I was hoping to run my main account and my stealth account from my Magento install with M2E Pro to keep all the stock in sync. I know that a lot of the syncing happens via M2E Pro servers, but does that mean that all of it does? And is it safe?

But sometimes, there is no need for this: there are enough tools in the basic CMS configuration to launch an online store and manage sales without deep immersion in the code.
