My account has 95 feedback and 0 negative feedback I’ve been selling for over a year and sold about 50 things since December yet my funds are still being held sometimes, is there a way to get them to stop holding my funds randomly? Like can I call to talk someone? And could I get the funds released after uploading tracking or is it a hard rule that it must be after it’s delivered? Thanks. |

Play the game and wait out the holds |

my account is +1 year old and i had the 21 days hold lifted after the 90 days from 1st sale. then i stopped selling for like a month due to no product to sell and when i came back the 21 hold came back too.
although i'm getting a lot of sales now, i had to end my listing cause i was afraid they might limit me |

| Usually just means you've done something to raise your risk score. Only way out is to build up a positive transaction history. |

My account has 95 feedback and tech news 0 negative feedback I’ve been free netflix selling for over a year and sold about 50 things since December yet my funds are still being held sometimes,Tried to list some mugs this morning - nothing special 9.99 plus shipping. Then got a message that popped up saying that in order to keep ebay a safe place, yada yada, we have temporarily placed a hold on the account until I call to verify info.
I have all of the pertinent info from my purchase - address, phone, email, DOB etc. Call CS - they looked into it and said I had to be escalated to another department to answer some verification questions. I had a bad line and ended up getting disconnected but not before the rep wanted me to answer from a list of names that I am associated with as well as a previous address. Super bummer - I had no idea they ask questions like that.
On another note - a newbie stealth count I just created a week ago has a ten item limit, sold 2 and is doing just fine with no seasoning or verification. Any ideas as to why this happens, am I burned for the paid account or is this one of those situations where I call until someone gives me an answer that I like? CS was helpful and seemed confused as to why I was getting limited on a $10 item with a 1/25k account. is there a way to get them to stop holding my funds randomly? Like can I call to talk someone? And could I get the funds released after uploading tracking or is it a hard rule that it must be after it’s delivered? Thanks.

Do you know how long this could possibly last? |

Basically they worry that your account may have been compromised or sold, and they want to make sure you're still a good seller when they do this. |

| treysupreme | 02-13-2019 09:48 AM | Re: eBay still holding funds. I also got this on a sale yesterday of the exact same item I sold two weeks ago without a hold. Not sure if its the same but PayPal held the funds without them mentioning eBay. Says they will be released 1 business day after tracking shows delivered.
This item was $95 and I sold 3 of them over a two week period in January without holds and randomly got this one. Seems strange but its just their stupid hoop we get to jump through. |

| visionary | 02-13-2019 10:23 AM | Re: eBay still holding funds. Sometimes it is PayPal that has the hold on the payments. I have had many accounts pass the 90 day/25 sales mark on ebay and Paypal still holds payments for another 60 days or so. You can call them up and sometimes they will remove the hold on payments if you call. |
