US Account ship from U.K.? Is this possible?

Hi,

if I get a eBay.com stealth account is it ok to ship my items from the U.K. where I’m based, as the account would be registered in the US?

Also is it a good or bad idea to use my existing PayPal account with this set up?

Yes you can do that, just make sure all the postal times are correct and you make it clear it’s Colin from the U.K.

You can also use a U.K. account and list directly on eBay.com

What I’m trying to accomplish is selling on eBay.com anonymously as possible, US sellers don’t seem to have to display there business details and address for the world to see like we do on the U.K. site, so that’s one thing I like. What would be the best set up to accomplish this?

LETs see if I understand what you are trying to accomplish,you are based in UK,you want to sell as US Ebay seller and ship from UK and use your UK Paypal account to accept payments?
you can ship from a foreign country as long as you state so,make sure the delivery date is reasonable.
you have to consider-what if the buyer wants to return the item,where should he return it too?
then there is PAYPAL?

eBay seem a little laxed at the moment compared to Amazon who demand it as part of the validation process, but once they get their collar felt by HMRC they'll surely follow suit.

Personally, there's no way I would open a US account and use it to ship from the UK if you want the account to last any length of time.
