Looking to go stealth, should I get USA or CANADA?

Looking at going stealth. I live in Canada and have an ebay account already in good standing but want to open another store just in case.

My question: I am planning to sell in USA only, would getting a USA account with paypal linked be better for potential sales? Or does that not matter at all?

Sales would be exactly the same on a US or CA account as long as you list on ebay.com. You can list on .com from a Canada account.

Using a USA account would make things 10x more difficult for you because (redacted, :pound:)

There are a few other benefits but the bottom line is for someone in your position (actually living in Canada) a CA account would be far superior.

Locally registered eBay accounts do far better in terms of sales than internationally registered ones. If you want to sell in Canada, I would definitely go with a Canadian account.

I beg to differ. That may be the case with various European accounts, but it doesn't apply to US/CA accounts in my experience. I sell from a few CA accounts and they all have CA addresses. I make all listings on eBay.com, accept USD payments, and sell to 95% USA buyers on all of them. It may be because I usually offer free US shipping and charge extra for Int'l shipping.. but, the point still stands. It's rare for me to sell to any actual Canadians on them.
