claim your money/funds available

Both my items that I sold were delivered on Feb 21. my funds still are "waiting for me" on pa ypal but when I click the notification is leads me to believe I should contact eb ay. should I call eb ay or pa ypal? Im thinking the hold is place by eb ay and not pa ypal.

Have you added tracking?

If so the funds would be released a few working days after delivery.

Has nothing to do with ebay.
If the funds are there waiting for you you will need to 'claim' them.
This means either verifying your identity by providing the SSN+DOB or withdrawing the funds to your US based bank account.
You will NOT be able to send these funds out if that is what you were hoping for. Not unless you undergo the identity verification.
No way around it. Its the new paypal.

well here is the thing. I have a real bank account attached so I could just use that to withdraw to but what about the fees? If I pay that with the bank account on file. wouldn't it reveal my real name? the stealth account has my real last name and my stealth first name is off by 1 letter from my real first name.

Just link your bank account to eBay and pay your fees via ACH directly to eBay. Or you can use a debit card to pay eBay directly. Withdraw all funds to bank account then pay your fees from the same bank account.

Well I just paid the fees via the vanilla visa that was on file via pa ypal. I also transferred the balance of the pay pal into the bank account and now it says "pending" in green eta 1 business day

phaz0rz 02-25-2019 03:34 PM

Re: claim your money/funds available

That's normal. Withdrawals only show up as "completed" instantly on aged accounts. On other accounts it will show as "pending" for a day, then once it says "complete" on Paypal, it means the money will hit your bank account on the next business day.

EDIT: paying with vanilla's is another option but it's going to be a major PITA if you're having to buy a new card every week (or however often you pay fees). I mentioned ACH because you can set it up to be recurring/automatic.

That method works with totally mismatched names so with your stealth name being almost the same as your real name, I'm confident you wouldn't have any problems paying fees that way.

ok thanks phaz0rz. one question please pm about how to do the ACH thing... also should I used the same debit card of the bank account on ebay ACH? or should I use the bank account that I am withdrawing to?

Go to 'update payment method' in your 'my ebay' section and click on it. It will give you 3 options for paying your fees - Paypal, credit card and bank account. Select The bank account and enter your bank account details. Theyl confirm it by sending two deposits to it and from that point on it will be auto debited monthly from that particular bank account.

It doesn't matter on either count. Both of those things are up to you. Doesn't have to be the same debit card or bank account that's attached to your PP account, but that would probably be the easiest way to keep track of things.

thank you slokor and phaz0rz :) one more question. what if a person has completely different details than the bank account. completely different names? is it still advised to attach bank account for auto-pay of fees? or should I do this only because the close mismatch names?

p.s. sorry if this has been answered already

Re: claim your money/funds available

It would still work with totally mismatched names.
