Ebay (Confirm your account) problem
 

I go to list an item and i get the following message

''Confirm your account''

''Choose how you'd like to receive your confirmation code'

''phone call or text message.''


Now the problem is I no longer have access to this phone number. So I ring eBay and try to sort this out, confirm all my details etc. And the person on the phone tell's me the only option to verify the account is with the phone number on file, I have no idea what else to do??

Update your phone number on ebay.
then use that to confirm.

Add a new phone number on ebay then Confirm it.

It won’t allow me to add a new number without confirming account with the old number

then your account is worthless,open a new one

This is why you need to maintain your phone numbers. If you lose access to the old one, you can have a bunch of problems like this.

Does the account have a bank account and credit card?


You can let the account sit a week or two and try again, if that does not work, try 90 days and then one year. Keep all cookies in place....Do not delete them.
