Banned on Seller Account
 

I got banned on my seller account and my niche was mens clothing, specifically suits and ties. Ebay literally took down about 60 listing that I had just because i canceled one too many orders.

I feel like even if I make a stealth account I will be at risk because each clothing item has specific measurements and patterns that are easily identifiable from my previous listings.

Would it be possible to somehow relist the items I had previously up without a high chance of being banned again?

Did you cancel them for being out of stock? That gives you huge defects on your account. I always cancel because "buyer wants to cancel" and you don't get any defects.

Reading such suspension stories makes me sad! It is a catastrophe when someone gets banned because they're sloppy with their account. I am not saying this to hurt your feelings further, but to hopefully motivate you to avoid that in the future.


Go ahead and create your stealth account. No need to worry about item specifications because they won't link you. Don't forget to clean EXIF data off your photos and change the title along with the description a little bit.


One last thing, before you invest time/money into a stealth account, try and reach out to eBay by calling them. Explain yourself, admit your guilt and be persistent with saying your last mistake will never be repeated. Say you've read the eBay guidelines thoroughly after what happend and promise to be a good seller serving their buyers well in the future. If luck is on your side, a gentle rep will reinstate you within seconds.

So does this mean I am safe because they aren't targeting stealth accounts made by sellers who got banned due to low ratings? Does their team specifically target copy right infringement and the sort?

NO,THEY treated all banned accounts same,banned accounts should be banned nomatter what the reason is.
Are you dropshipping?
if so,you need to make sure you can deliver!
as to using the reason buyer ask to cancel the order ,some buyers do not like that and could file complaint with Ebay .and it could make them look bad.

No I'm just a thrift store reseller. I just want to know to what extent I have to stealth for ebay not ban my second account. I just have very identifiable merchandise and a specific way of taking pictures so I reckon they would trace me outright.

You're just being paranoid. Read the stealth guide and come back here if you have any questions, many members would be glad to help you.


eBay doesn't have time to check how the pictures uploaded by newly created accounts were taken. If you remove the EXIF data you should be o.k (don't upload the exact same pictures you used on the banned account though, take new ones!).
